Jobs are the way we travel.
We have to work because we are way to young to retire. Sometimes it's easy to find a job in a new location and sometimes it can be more difficult. Below are some of the things we've done to fund our life's journey.

I had one insulting response to a post on a forum before. The man was VERY upset because he worked his whole life and planned his whole life to be able to full time rver. He was angry that my husband and I were working our way across the USA.. I say phwett to him! Each to their own. While we will probably never have a huge savings or a big fancy car, we like the life we live and we work hard to live it.

How we find work?
There are several ways to find a job while on the road. The easiest is the internet. Most often times you can have a job before you even arrive at your next location. Often times when you choose a place you can do an internet seach on that particular location and use the local newspaper or craigslist. Another great site for finding work is workamper.com . It's inexpensive to join for a year and easy to use. I joined the site in Sept. 2007 and had a job just 4 days later.

2006: We arrived in Yuma, Az in November. Neither of us had a job and we were running very low on funds due to an unexpected repair. This location we were totally winging it. I applied for a job at a mexican restraunt and Kev got a job framing. We dry camped until January of 07. We stayed nights out in the middle of the dessert. It was awsome. The freedom to sleep somewhere different every single night! Fabulous....

May 2007, Yuma was starting to empty out as it's a snowbird location so we were ready to move on. I looked on Craigslist.org There I found us a job at Zion Mountain Resort in Utah. It was about 500 miles from where we were. That was a great job. We worked there from April 2007 till our end of the season August 2007.
